About the role
In this position, you will convey your passion for educating others with a dynamic team by working with our students in a residential treatment setting specializing in trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing effective coping strategies.
- Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued through activities like cooking, banking, and vocational skills.
- Support students in developing life skills necessary for their next steps.
- Provide enriching academic assistance for teachers and students in a Special Education setting.
- Contribute to the creation of a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Special Education or Mental Health setting experience preferred.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license due to the requirement of transporting students.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to ensure the safety of our students.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with physical interventions and verbal de-escalations.
- Background and driving record checks will be conducted.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and special education settings.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and qualifications.
Schedule
Shifts may include evenings, holidays, and weekends, depending on the needs of the program.
