Teacher, Reserve Cadre - Candidate Pool (2026-2027 School Year)
Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for the Reserve Cadre Teacher pool for the 2026-2027 school year. This position supports schools by filling last-minute teaching assignments across the district.
About the Role
A Cadre Reserve is a special classification of Reserve Teacher that reports directly to the manager of the Reserve Desk. Cadres accept assignments on a last-minute basis, typically the morning of the absence, to fill unassigned roles. Assignments may vary in location, grade level, and subject area, with no guarantee of choice in placement. Cadres must be available to work every duty day (Monday-Friday) during the MPS school year calendar.
In the absence of open assignments, Cadres may be assigned to a school site to provide assistance as directed by the site administrator. Reserve Cadres play a crucial role in supporting schools while long-term replacements are secured.
Cadres may work up to fifteen (15) consecutive days in the same classroom.
