Teacher - PSR

Job Responsibilities

• A passion to grow your faith and share that faith with others
• Live your faith through active participation in the parish
• Knowledge and Skills:
  • Basic understanding of Catholic teaching, Scripture, Catholic Tradition
  • A desire to learn more

Job Requirements

• Prepare for each class through the creation or review of appropriate lesson plans
• Comply with the Archdiocesan learning standards published for the grade-level you are assigned to teach
• Be in the classroom and ready to teach at least 15 minutes before the start of class
• Incorporate a variety of techniques (visual, verbal, musical, physical) to address the different learning styles of the students
• Return the classroom to its original condition at the end of each class
• Submit attendance and student progress reports (report cards) on a timely basis
• Communicate with the Coordinator of Religious Education regarding any classroom issue in a timely manner

Time Commitment

• 90 minutes on Monday or Tuesday (includes class prep, teaching, cleanup time)
• Attend in service meeting called by the Coordinator of Religious Education
