Qualifications
- COLORADO TEACHING LICENSE WITH AN APPROPRIATE ELEMENTARY ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED
- ADDITIONAL ENDORSEMENT IN CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY DIVERSE EDUCATION PREFERRED, OR WILLINGNESS TO PURSUCE ENDORSEMENT OR EQUIVALENT COURSEWORK
- K-3 TEACHERS MUST PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF EVIDENCE-BASED LITERACY TRAINING, READ ACT DESIGNATION, PER CDE REQUIREMENTS
Job Responsibilities/Requirements
- Commitment to raising achievement among all students, including high-need students, students with disabilities, and those performing below grade level
- Develop lesson plans ensuring pacing, critical thinking, engagement, and smooth classroom management
- Provide students with skills to meet or exceed Colorado Academic Standards
- Communicate student progress and achievements to students and parents
- Maintain professional communications and interactions with students, parent community, and staff
- Collaborate with colleagues across content areas, including participating in planning meetings, implementing rigorous curriculum, and using multiple assessment strategies
- Attend and fully utilize professional development opportunities
- Willingness to undergo training in the International Baccalaureate Model
- Model, instill, and actively participate in building a supportive and positive culture through GPA's learner profiles
- Perseverance in the face of challenges, working with a growth mindset
- Other duties as assigned
Training
Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education and for all public school employees. This training ensures compliance with state requirements and fosters a culture of safety and belonging across schools.
