- Prekindergarten Disabilities Endorsement, as described in Rule 6A-4.01792, F.A.C., Specialization Requirements for the Prekindergarten Disabilities Endorsement. This endorsement can be added to a Florida educator certificate in primary education, elementary education (K-6), early childhood education, or any ESE area.
- A valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Prekindergarten Education (Birth–Age 4) or Prekindergarten/Primary Education (Age 3–Grade 3).
- Division of Early Learning Approved Florida Developmental Standards course (5 hours).
- Division of Early Learning Approved Emergent Literacy coursework (15 hours).
- Experience working with 3- and 4-year-old children with exceptionalities in inclusive settings.
- Knowledge of play-based instructional approaches and inclusive early childhood best practices.
- Strong organizational and data collection skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
