Teacher *POOL* - K-8/Middle School, Response to Intervention (Effective 2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
Summary
An RTI teacher contributes to the academic success of targeted students. Works extensively to help improve skills. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses and progresses the monitoring of strengths and weaknesses. Matches skills with evidence-based instructional strategies, techniques, and resources. Teaches small groups of striving students. Models evidence-based instructional strategies and collaborates frequently with classroom teachers. Serves as an integral part of a problem-solving team at the building level.
Minimum Requirements
- Grades K - 8th Arizona Elementary Certificate
- Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th Arizona Elementary Certificate
- OR Arizona Elementary Certificate
- OR Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades 5-9 Endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Requirements
- Prior To Start Date: Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Pay
EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Multiple Locations – District-Wide
TUSD Regions Map
FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.
WORK CALENDAR: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)
