Teacher of Saxophone
Accountabilities
The Department of Music at Colgate University invites applications for the position of Teacher of Saxophone, beginning in Fall 2026. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong commitment to teaching and a passion for fostering musical growth in a liberal arts setting.

Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in teaching saxophone lessons on a one-on-one basis, with preference for experience teaching at the collegiate level.
- Professional performance experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in music
- Private lesson teaching experience including beginning, intermediate, and advanced students
- Experience with classical saxophone methods and repertoire as a teacher, student, and/or performer
Other Information
- Work Schedule: Hours will vary. Flexible availability required to accommodate student violin lessons across any weekday.
