Teacher of Health and Physical Education - Maternity Leave

About the role

BCIT is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Health & Physical Education to join our team as a maternity leave replacement. The ideal candidate will possess a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Health & Physical Education. An Adaptive PE endorsement and relevant experience are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of instructional best practices and the ability to engage students in a positive, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Health & Physical Education (required)
• Adaptive Physical Education certification (preferred)
• Experience delivering effective instruction in Health & PE
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Requirements

• Must pass criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
• Physical and drug testing required

Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $65,737 – $81,313 (commensurate with education and experience). Note: Salary in accordance with the negotiated contract and collective bargaining agreements.
