About the role

The British International School of Boston is a growing independent private school situated in the popular area of Jamaica Plain, Boston, Massachusetts. Situated on the campus of Showa Institute, our vibrant campus has green spaces, all integrated into our Lower, Middle and High School academic buildings and athletic facilities. Within our private school of over 85 nationalities, spanning from Early Years and all of K–12 education, we holistically emphasise components of intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth through many resources and extra-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the holistic development of students through various resources and extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a personalized learning experience for every student.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in school events and activities to foster a sense of community and global citizenship.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Expatriate candidates must be a citizen of The United Kingdom, have QTS status, and be able to prove normal domicile in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching and working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international environment.

Skills

  • Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into teaching practices.
