Instructor of Art and Design

About the role

The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses in Foundations or Studio Art. Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections. Teaching responsibilities are on campus, in Muncie, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Teach between one and three undergraduate courses.
• Communicate regularly with students.
• Provide meaningful and timely assessments.
• Post course information on Canvas.
• Submit grades and other reports on time.

Requirements

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in art, design, or related discipline by time of appointment.
• MFA degree in art, design, or related discipline by time of appointment.
• Engagement with contemporary art practices as an educator, artist, designer, and/or illustrator.
• One year of teaching experience at the college level.
