About the role

New Beginnings Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team. This position is responsible for providing quality instruction, developing lesson plans, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach district-approved curriculum and Arizona State standards
• Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations
• Create and lead engaging learning activities
• Utilize assessments to monitor student progress
• Communicate regularly with parents through newsletters, notes, phone calls, and conferences
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
• Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
• Be available for education-related purposes outside the instructional day
• Plan and coordinate the work of teacher aides, parents, and volunteers
• Create an environment for learning through displays, interest centers, and exhibits of student work
• Incorporate technology into lesson plans
• Maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members, and vendors
• Establish and enforce classroom management structure and rules
• Celebrate the achievements and successes of students
• Maintain knowledge of grade level content and standards
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality

Requirements

• Obtain and Maintain an appropriate Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certification for the position hired
• Obtain and Maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Identify Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card
