About the role
New Beginnings Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team. This position is responsible for providing quality instruction, developing lesson plans, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach district-approved curriculum and Arizona State standards
- Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations
- Create and lead engaging learning activities
- Utilize assessments to monitor student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents through newsletters, notes, phone calls, and conferences
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
- Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
- Be available for education-related purposes outside the instructional day
- Plan and coordinate the work of teacher aides, parents, and volunteers
- Create an environment for learning through displays, interest centers, and exhibits of student work
- Incorporate technology into lesson plans
- Maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members, and vendors
- Establish and enforce classroom management structure and rules
- Celebrate the achievements and successes of students
- Maintain knowledge of grade level content and standards
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
Requirements
- Obtain and Maintain an appropriate Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certification for the position hired
- Obtain and Maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Identify Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card
