About the role

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students and employs a variety of instructional techniques and media. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in music education or related field.
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in music.
• Experience teaching music in grades PK-8.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

$45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Varies, typically Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend responsibilities.
