K-8 Music Teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver music instruction for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
• Develop and implement a music curriculum that includes vocal performance, rhythm, music theory, and basic instrumental instruction.
• Integrate Catholic liturgical music and prepare students for participation in school Masses and prayer services.
• Organize and direct student performances, concerts, and school music events.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain expectations appropriate for all grade levels.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and events.
• Maintain and organize music supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in music education or a related field preferred.
• Teaching experience in music, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of vocal and/or instrumental music instruction.
• Able to work with students across a wide range of grade levels.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to support the mission and values of Catholic education.
