Teacher MS - Math Interventionist (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Summary

Contributes to the acceleration of our striving mathematicians. Works extensively with students to help improve specific mathematical skills. Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses math strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials to promote interest in math concepts.

Minimum Requirements

  • AZ Elementary Certificate K-8 with Middle Grades Math Approved Area 6-8 or Math Endorsement K-8 OR AZ Secondary Certificate 6-12 with Math or Middle Grades Math Approved Area 6-8 or Math Endorsement K-8
  • Current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Requirement
  • Prior To Start Date Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Preferred Requirements

  • Math Endorsement K-8
  • Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
  • Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Positions Less Than 30 Hours Per Week

Salary

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Internal Candidates

Transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.

Probationary Contracts

Will be issued for any contingent Certifications
