Teacher Math
About the role
The Mathematics Instructor will teach grades 9–12 at Indiantown High School, with a primary focus on math remediation, Algebra 1, and Geometry. Depending on student needs and instructor expertise, additional courses may include Algebra 2 or dual-enrollment college-level math.
Responsibilities
- Teach in a manner that assists high school students in meeting rigorous instructional standards at both secondary and post-secondary levels.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Administer learning style assessments and apply instructional strategies based on student results.
- Integrate technology and computer-based instruction to enhance learning.
- Utilize and apply the Florida Standards, EOC Assessment Specifications, curriculum frameworks, and college course objectives when planning lessons.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all reporting deadlines.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Florida Department of Education Certification in Mathematics (Middle Grades 6–9 or Secondary 9–12).
- Master’s degree within the field of Mathematics, or a master’s with 18 graduate hours in Math, preferred.
- Familiarity with cooperative learning and assessment techniques.
- Knowledge of best practices in secondary education.
- Bilingual ability a plus.
- ESE/ESOL endorsement preferred (ESE endorsement given preference).
- Demonstrated understanding of diverse learning needs and instructional strategies.
- Expertise in current instructional methods and student engagement practices.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or flexible schedules as specified by the Indiantown High School Executive Director or designee.

Pay
Pay range starts at: $54,620.00. All salary calculations begin at the minimum salary and are based on the candidate's education and experience.

Occasional evenings, weekends, or flexible schedules as specified by the Indiantown High School Executive Director or designee.
