About the role
A Temporary Long-Term Substitute will teach appropriate grade-level standard-based curriculum to students during the absence of the classroom teacher from August 20, 2026 to October 16, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support their achievement.
- Maintains order and monitors student behavior in accordance with school and district policies.
- Evaluates and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Presents subject matter to students using various teaching methods and technology.
- Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state/local requirements.
- Assigns, administers, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
- Communicates with parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic issues.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
