Long Term Substitute - 2nd Grade Teacher

About the role

The Solanco School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will serve students at both Bart-Colerain Elementary School and Clermont Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Teach 2nd grade curriculum aligned with state standards
• Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and share best practices
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
