TEACHER, LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE - SCIENCE, 9TH-12TH GRADE
About the role
A Long-Term Substitute is responsible for teaching appropriate grade level standard-based curriculum to students, following school/district approved curriculum while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period of time.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Makes sure students follow the rules and behave appropriately.
- Monitors and reports on students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Plans lessons, units, and projects according to curriculum guidelines or state/local requirements.
- Teaches students individually and in groups, using various methods and technology.
- Evaluates student progress and grades assignments and tests.
- Communicates with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators about students' issues and progress.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
Qualifications
