TEACHER, LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE - LANGUAGE ARTS, 12TH GRADE
About the role
A Long-Term Substitute is responsible for teaching appropriate grade level standard-based curriculum to students, following school/district approved curriculum while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period of time.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Makes sure students follow the rules and behave appropriately.
- Monitors and evaluates students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Plans and presents lessons, using various teaching methods and technology.
- Assigns, grades, and administers tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
- Communicates with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators about students' issues.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Has a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Lives and works with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
