About the role
This full-time Math and Reading Intervention Teacher position is for the 2026-2027 school year in Pasco County, FL. Sessions take place during regular school hours for grades K-6, with a schedule of 30 hours per week at a school located in Zephyrhills.
Responsibilities
- Instruct Reading/ELA and Math to small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting with a focus on intervention.
- Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills using company-designed materials and strategies.
- Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans using provided curriculum.
- Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms. Climbing stairs and light lifting may be required.
- Perform timely data entry for student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, parent and classroom teacher communication forms, and compliance documentation.
- Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences.
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
- Differentiate instruction by customizing lessons, using data to meet student needs, and fostering student ownership, critical thinking, and clear routines.
- Engage in professional growth through training, coaching, and feedback.
- Track progress by maintaining accurate student and academic records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Valid and current FL Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility.
- Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience.
- Willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels.
- Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.
- Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
