About the role

As the Teacher (Inclusion – Highly Individualised Planning), you will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs.
• Build the capacity of support staff to deliver effective learning and teaching programs.
• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive classroom, tutorial rooms and sensory garden.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Leader of Wellbeing to implement teaching and learning strategies and programs that identify and respond to the individual engagement, social and emotional needs of the students.
• Works closely with the Leader of Teaching and the Leader of Learning to implement teaching and learning strategies and programs that identify and respond to the individual curriculum needs of students.
• Liaise with visiting specialists, including therapists and Inclusive Education Teachers.
• Communicate with parents as key partners in the educational outcomes of students.
• Communicate regularly with mainstream teachers to provide assistance in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with support staff.

Requirements

• Be registered or eligible to be register with Queensland College of Teachers
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education

Pay

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience - $86,600 (Graduate) - $126,795 (EPT) FTE gross per annum
