Teacher II

About the role

The Teacher II will assist in the operations of their classroom in accordance with all applicable policies and regulations, and supervise assigned staff.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and growth of children and their families by providing quality childcare, parent/child experiences, parenting education, and individual family support services.
• Aids in the development and implementation of the Early Childhood Development and Health Services program by providing developmentally and culturally appropriate experiences.
• Involves parents in the development of goals for their children.
• Attends conferences with parents.

Requirements

• AA degree preferred or 60 units with 24 ECE units, including core courses.
• One-year experience working with young children within the last four years.
• Minimum one-year experience supervising adults and 2 units of Adult Supervision.
• California Health and Safety Certificate CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Current Health Screening, proof of current negative TB test, immunizations required by Community Care Licensing (pertussis/measles) and current influenza shot.
• Valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.

• Full-Time/Part Year 40 hrs./week M - F
• Salary Range $19.10 - $ 20.50

• Knowledge of child development and safety standards.
