Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Aids in scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for each deposit and education day, while also facilitating communication and coordination with school administration at participating institutions.
- Travels to various locations on scheduled community education days, student credit union days, and other educational events to deliver training in both classroom and assembly settings on a range of financial topics.
- Creates and refreshes curriculum as needed.
- Carries out tasks aimed at involving members and potential members in school credit union programs and community educational programs.
- Creates marketing materials as required to promote educational programs.
- Tracks, reports, and monitors programs for impact.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Education: A two year college degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
- Interpersonal Skills: High degree of trust, diplomacy, and courtesy, along with tact. Extensive personal interaction of a personal or sensitive nature, with a potential added focus on motivation or influence. Cultivating strong, professional relationships with external entities, including companies and individuals, is crucial.
- Other Skills: Patience with students, use of PowerPoint along with various software programs, and presentations skills. Ability to relate and bring appropriate energy to ages pre-K to senior citizens. Ability to be creative on how to connect to different generations and diverse backgrounds.
- Physical Requirements: Must travel to schools and community events throughout Genesee, Saginaw and Lapeer counties. Work Environment: Some night and weekend events required.
