Teacher Grade 6-8 Language Arts (Leave Replacement)

Qualifications

• New Jersey teacher instructional certificate with a Middle School ELA in Grades 5-8 endorsement or a K-12 English endorsement
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
• Knowledge of English grammar, word usage, word denotations and connotations, spelling, literature, and other content areas taught
• Computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community
