TEACHER-GRADE 1

POSITION GOAL

To create and maintain a classroom atmosphere that generates high expectations and enthusiasm for learning by infusing critical thinking skills, application skills, interpersonal skills, and technology into an aligned curriculum and assessment process, resulting in measurable student achievement gains for all students in order to meet District and State standards.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
• Implement an aligned curriculum and assessment process.
• Infuse critical thinking, application, interpersonal, and technology skills into instruction.
• Maintain high expectations for all students to achieve measurable academic gains.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Appropriate State of Florida certification.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
