About the role

To create and maintain a classroom atmosphere that generates high expectations and enthusiasm for learning by infusing critical thinking skills, application skills, interpersonal skills, and technology into an aligned curriculum and assessment process, resulting in measurable student achievement gains for all students in order to meet District and State standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a classroom environment that fosters high expectations and enthusiasm for learning.
• Infuse critical thinking, application, interpersonal, and technology skills into an aligned curriculum and assessment process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and lesson plans.
• Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed to meet individual student needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of school-wide initiatives and events.

Requirements

• Appropriate State of Florida certification.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
