About the role

Responsibilities
- Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
- Being patient and kind with our parents
- Acting as a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families
- Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families
- Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered
- Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment
- Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare
- Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children
Requirements
- Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency
- 2 plus years (2500 Hours) childcare experience
