Assistant Teacher - Early Learning - Full Time
About the role
We are seeking an assistant teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds, connecting with our community, and enjoying their work.
Responsibilities
- Aid in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
- Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
- Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
- Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, see, hear, direct, and assist, always ensuring a safe environment.
- Uphold all YMCA, state, and quality rating systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
Requirements
- A high school degree or equivalent.
- Two years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience.
Qualifications
While not specified, we prefer candidates who have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and nurturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of child development stages.
