About the Role
Under the supervision of the Executive Director or designee, the Early Head Start Home Visitor is responsible for the overall implementation of an integrated, family-focused, home-based program serving pregnant women and families with children ages 0-3. This position is distinguished by employment being determined by Policy Council for the portion paid with Head Start Funds. Continued operation of the Head Start Program and employment of staff is dependent on the availability of federal funding.
Responsibilities
- Implement a family-focused, home-based program for pregnant women and families with children ages 0-3.
Requirements
- Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field with 6 units in infant/toddler coursework.
- Valid Child Development Permit.
- Minimum of three years recent experience in Early Care and Education Programs.
- Knowledge of infant/toddler development, family interaction, and community resources.
Qualifications
A combination of formal education, life experience, and work experience at a level to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
Pay
Pay Range: $43,636 - $79,476 Annually (based on education and experience).

- 222 Days/Year
- 12 Months/Year

- Depending on the assignment, this position may involve transporting students. Employees assigned to provide student transportation must comply with all applicable California requirements for student transportation, including those established under California Senate Bill 88 (SB 88).
