Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can thrive.
- Implement Creative Curriculum using play-based learning and interest centers.
- Actively engage in hands-on activities to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Extend learning beyond the classroom, including outdoor activities.
- Affirm each child’s progress and tailor activities to meet individual developmental needs.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to create a positive and structured learning environment.
- Use positive behavior management techniques consistent with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (No CDA required; experience preferred but not required).
- First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Utah Driver’s License.
- Utah Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written; bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
- A strong passion for working with children and a desire to learn and grow in early childhood education.
