Teacher - Early Education

Neighborhood House is seeking compassionate and motivated Early Education Teachers to join our team. No prior experience or certifications are required—just a love for children and a willingness to learn. We provide high-quality, play-based learning for children ages 15 months to 5 years old in a licensed and NAEYC-accredited environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can thrive.
• Implement Creative Curriculum using play-based learning and interest centers.
• Actively engage in hands-on activities to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Extend learning beyond the classroom, including outdoor activities.
• Assess each child’s progress and tailor activities to meet individual developmental needs.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to create a positive and structured learning environment.
• Use positive behavior management techniques consistent with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (No CDA required; experience preferred but not required).
• First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Utah Driver’s License.
• Utah Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written; bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
• A strong passion for working with children and a desire to learn and grow in early childhood education.
