Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with Arizona Academic Standards
• Evaluate students’ skills to determine the best program of learning
• Write and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP)
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• College/University Degree in Education with coursework specific to sensory impairments
• State of Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for DHH (or ACVREP Certification in place of ADE certification for Teacher O&M)
• Secondary teaching positions must possess the necessary coursework as required by the Department of Education
• Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
