About the role
To serve as a support person for students, teachers, staff and parents related to the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective behavior management strategies at school and home to promote student success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement behavior management strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Work cooperatively with peers and other school staff
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
- Use computer skills as required for the position
Requirements
- An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate subject area related to the assignment with valid Florida certification
- Five (5) years of successful teaching work experience
- OR An earned master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate subject area related to the assignment with valid Florida certification
- Three (3) years of successful teaching work experience
- Previous work experience which demonstrated the ability to work effectively with behavioral/descriptive/disorderly students
- Ability to work cooperatively with peers
- Prior experience which documented the ability to communicate effectively
