About the role

To serve as a support person for students, teachers, staff and parents related to the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective behavior management strategies at school and home to promote student success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Work cooperatively with peers and other school staff
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
  • Use computer skills as required for the position

Requirements

  • An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate subject area related to the assignment with valid Florida certification
  • Five (5) years of successful teaching work experience
  • OR An earned master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate subject area related to the assignment with valid Florida certification
  • Three (3) years of successful teaching work experience
  • Previous work experience which demonstrated the ability to work effectively with behavioral/descriptive/disorderly students
  • Ability to work cooperatively with peers
  • Prior experience which documented the ability to communicate effectively
