About the role
This position involves teaching within the specified course of study for the subject area at the grade level as prescribed by state law or district policy. Responsibilities include establishing a system of student evaluation, maintaining accurate records, and providing a variety of planned learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum requirements and provide written evidence of preparation as required by law.
- Evaluate students' progress according to state guidelines and report findings to parents as necessary.
- Assess and address students' health, attitude, and learning issues collaboratively with other professionals.
- Participate in community outreach activities like open houses and PTA meetings to interpret educational programs.
- Work cooperatively with the principal to develop an evaluation system aligned with district guidelines.
- Keep accurate records and compile required reports, maintaining compliance with district and school policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or relevant associate’s degree with work-appropriate experience in the field.
- Valid CTE Texas teaching certification with required endorsements for the subject and grade level.
- Completion of the Instructor Certification Training Program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction, teaching tasks, and ability to follow specific instructions.
