What You Will Do
- Serve as a member of the Education Department.
- Implement and adhere to the principles of Positive Organizational Culture.
- Provide instructional services to students.
- Work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion.
- Empower students to reach their full potential through positive interventions and therapeutic treatments.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential in Special Education K-12.
- Preferred multiple credentials in Math and Science.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university.
- Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule
Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Rope Academy is a Nebraska Rule 13 (Exempt School) and runs year-round. We follow OPS guidelines as closely as possible regarding school breaks and teacher planning days throughout the year. A short one-week break is provided during the summer.
Pay
- The starting salary for a non-credentialed individual is $42,500.
- Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree and five years of teaching experience, who are hired to teach Math, Science, Special Education, or Multi-Subject Credentials, are eligible for a starting salary of $51,957.
- The starting salary is $60,813 for those with a Master’s degree, 7 years of teaching experience from an accredited institution in a field related to the position, and who are hired to teach Math, Science, Special Education, or Multi-Subject Credentials.
