About the role

We are seeking dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to support classroom instruction in an onsite educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Report to the school office at the beginning and end of each workday.
• Follow teacher lesson plans and perform all assigned classroom responsibilities.
• Supervise students throughout the day while maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assist with additional duties such as lunchroom, bus, or hallway supervision as assigned.
• Follow school emergency procedures and student medical guidelines.
• Maintain classroom routines and address student behavior appropriately.
• Protect student confidentiality and report significant concerns to school administrators.
• Collaborate with school staff and follow all school policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher (teaching certification not required).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and adapt to changing classroom needs.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children, especially students with special needs.
• Strong teamwork, sound judgment, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Additional Information

This is a fully onsite position in Nashville, TN. Candidates must successfully complete all required background checks, fingerprinting, employment verification, and reference checks before starting employment.
