About the role

The KidsPeace Graham Lake School is a special purpose private school serving children pre-k through high school with developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. This is an intensive and collaborative program that operates year-round.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized educational and behavioral services to students
• Collaborate with a team of clinical and educational professionals and providers
• Implement successful instructional strategies and teaching methods for both 1:1 and small group instruction
• Supervise support staff

Requirements

• 282 or 286 DOE certification or documentation from the DOE that candidate is certified in K-8, will also accept K-6
• Eligible and willing to obtain 282 or 286 certification

Qualifications

• Dedicated, compassionate, and creative
• Experience working with children with developmental and/or emotional disabilities
• Behavior intervention and management skills
• Successful instructional strategies and teaching skills

Skills

• Ability to work with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of best practices in special education
