About the role
Cohannet Academy is an Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescents specializing in trauma-informed care. It offers 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on-site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement structured lesson plans
- Build a therapeutic rapport with our youth
- Work collaboratively with the special education team
- Attend meetings with family members, collateral, and other teams
- Support youth in developing a sense of self and providing skills for success
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Massachusetts teaching certification from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Relevant experience with grades 5-12 preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Leadership abilities
- Knowledge of the needs of the population served
- Maintains valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Pass background and driving record checks

- Ability to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations

The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $94,000 per year. The actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications.
