Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school curriculum and Archdiocesan Standards
- Integrate Catholic teaching, values, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom culture
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and faith-centered learning environment
- Use effective classroom management practices consistent with Gospel values and school expectations
- Absess student learning using a variety of measures; maintain accurate grades, records, and documentation
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress, needs, and expectations
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success and school-wide initiatives
- Support school liturgies, prayer, service opportunities, and other school/parish events as requested
- Carry out supervision and other duties as assigned (e.g., recess, hallway, arrival/dismissal, lunch duty)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of instructional best practices, assessment, and classroom management
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
- P Practicing Catholic preferred, in accordance with school/parish policy and position requirements
Working Conditions & Requirements
- Classroom-based instructional setting within a Catholic school environment
- May involve working with various age groups and a range of learner needs
- Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment/Protecting God’s Children training and required background checks
- Ability to meet the physical and professional demands of a classroom setting (standing, walking, supervising students, etc.)
