About This Role

This Teacher opportunity at Children's Day School, Inc. serves Preschool (3–5) and requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Based in Riverside, CT, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Teacher to join our early childhood program in Greenwich, CT. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine love for working with young children. This role is responsible for creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports each child's growth in social-emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.

What You'll Do

• Frequent interaction with children
• Creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Ensuring children's safety
• Supervising and interacting with children outdoors
• Lifting, moving, or holding children with a range of weight from 10 - 40+ pounds
• Sitting, crawling, and participating in physical activities
• Responding to unexpected situations or emergencies

Requirements

• Follow State, Federal and CDS guidelines including immunizations, employment physical and required health and safety training.
• Ensure children's safety while performing the following job functions:
• Frequently lift, move or hold children with a range of weight from 10 - 40+ pounds.
• Supervise and interact with children outdoors for extended periods of varied weather conditions.
• Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, crawl and otherwise fully participate in physical activities.
• Be able to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
