About the role

Wildwood School provides a comprehensive educational program for students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists students, individually or in groups, with specialized instructional programs prepared by the teacher to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Works with teachers to develop and use available instructional resources, materials and equipment appropriate to planned learning programs for students.
• Helps monitor of students' activities in the halls and cafeteria, on the playground and during arrival and dismissal periods.
• Attends to the physical needs of students such as helping with clothing, or attending to personal hygiene and toilet habits as needed.
• Learns and uses behavior management strategies to increase students' participation in the educational program.

Qualifications

• This position requires 2 weeks of orientation/training.
• Ability to pass CALM training.

Pay

Pay rate: 22.00
