Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Transcript, DD214, or GED.
- Transcript showing 48 college hours or Para-Professional.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Aid in managing student arrival and departure activities.
- Support individual student goals.
- Assist in creating and implementing learning experiences for successful classroom returns.
- Supervise students and attend to their personal needs.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain the safety and welfare of students.
- Provide one-to-one assistance with academic and/or daily activities.
- Assist with student personal hygiene tasks (may include changing diapers, assisting with feeding, dressing, or bathroom functions, cleaning face/hands).
- Offer clerical support to the teacher, including organizing materials and recording information.
- Assist in daily instruction and supervision of self-contained programs for students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, Severe-Profound, Intellectual Disability, and/or Developmental Delay.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
