Teacher Assistant (Exceptional Education) / Darlington Middle School

A 190-day position available at Darlington Middle School in the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom teaching assistance
• Supervise students at all times
• Maintain a positive classroom environment
• Provide students with daily care (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required
• Adhere to district dress code policies
• Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
• Positively support all facets of student growth and development
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education
• An associate degree (or higher)
• High School Diploma or the equivalent
• Ready to Work Credentials:
• WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment - minimum of Level 3 certification
• ParaPro - Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro, the state approved academic assessment
