Full-time Teacher Assistant position for the Tonawanda City School District. Must hold current, valid NYS certification as Teacher Assistant or other content area and fingerprint clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers to allow for student success
- Proctor and help conduct examinations
- Manage records, materials, and equipment
- Supervise students in remedial work as directed by classroom teacher
- Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings when required
- Provide individual student supervision as required by IEPs
- Promote student positive interactions and involvement within the classroom
- Other duties as assigned under direct supervision of principal and Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Services
Requirements
- Current, valid NYS certification as Teacher Assistant or other content area
- Fingerprint clearance
