About the Role

Chambliss Center for Children is seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to support our Early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 8 weeks to 3 years. This part-time position is perfect for someone with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential who wants a consistent weekday schedule while making a lasting impact during a child's most important developmental years.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-2:00 PM

Pay

Starting at $13.00 per hour (with CDA credential)

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers during lunch coverage and classroom transitions
  • Assist in infant, toddler, and twos classrooms as needed
  • Help maintain safe classroom ratios and daily routines
  • Engage children in age-appropriate learning and play activities
  • Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
  • Assist with daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, and classroom activities

Requirements

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or classroom setting
  • Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist where needed
  • Caring, patient, and team-oriented approach
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check
