Position Goal
To assist the Early Childhood Teacher with day-to-day activities.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom management and organization.
- Support teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans.
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed.
- Help manage student behavior and discipline.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Standard high school diploma or GED and CDA credential, or equivalent certification.
- An earned associate’s degree or higher.
- Additional continuing education as required by program funding source.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
Prior to Employment
- Must hold and maintain a valid State of Florida Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or equivalent certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience working with young children.
- Experience with early childhood education programs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move children.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks.
