TEACHER ASSISTANT-EARLY CHILDHOOD ED (GRANT FUNDED)

About the role

To assist the Early Childhood Teacher with day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom management and daily routines
• Support the teacher in implementing curriculum and lesson plans
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Help with meal preparation and serving
• Participate in group activities and playtime
• Document children’s progress and observations
• Communicate with parents and other staff members

Requirements

• Standard high school diploma or GED
• Satisfactory completion of an approved GED Testing Program
• A valid State of Florida Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or equivalent certification
• An earned associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Continuing education as required by program funding source
• Basic computer skills as required for the position

Qualifications

• Valid State of Florida Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or equivalent certification
• Earned associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Additional hours of continuing education as mandated by program funding source

Skills

• Ability to work effectively with children aged 3-5 years old
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills as required for the position
