ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide bilingual instructional assistance in the classroom.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials.
- Present classroom instruction.
- Perform various clerical duties.
- Assist and supervise students to enrich education delivery.
- Support the effective implementation of a specific grant if necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Standard high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of Teacher Assisting Curriculum and passing score on ParaPro Test or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English and the target ELL language.
- Sensitivity to other cultures and ability to work with students.
- Basic computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Earned associate’s degree or 60 semester hours of college credit.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience within the past 5 years.
- Six semester hours in human growth and development.
