Teacher Assistant - Bilingual (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the Role

Assists teachers in performing various classroom teaching tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• One year of experience working with youth
• Successful completion of the TUSD Bilingual (English/Spanish) Exam
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR Associate’s (or higher) degree OR Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post high school general education studies
• Speak, read, and write in English

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• Copy of diploma, transcripts, or test results must be submitted upon hire
• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

• Related training or experience

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Mary Belle McCorkle K-8 - Ajo & Mission Area
• FTE: 0.75 (6 hours per day)
• Work Calendar: 9 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits

Pay
