Teacher Assistant

About the Role

Huntingdon First Baptist Church WEE Care Ministry is looking for a teacher assistant for afternoon hours (30 hrs/week). A basic love for children and a commitment to teaching are essential. Physical stamina to keep up with active children is a must.

Responsibilities

• Help provide and maintain a Christian environment in which children may grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
• Give each child the attention needed to assure their best welfare, including eating, toileting, sleeping, and playing.
• Work with other teachers to ensure a clean and orderly room.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED.
• Additional education and/or experience in the childcare field is desirable.
